As someone who loves books and hates clutter, I find myself in a bit of a pickle. I have a lot of unread books that are taking up space, and I seldom reread books (especially fiction). That is why I made “read everything” one of my 2020 goals. So far, it’s both going well and failing spectacularly. Let me explain.
My goal is to read more. In that sense, I’m am well on my way to surpassing the number of books I read in 2019. All of the books I’ve read so far, however, have been library books. It’s a nice problem to have, so I’m not complaining.
I have several reading goals for the year. More translations (J->E and E->J), more unfamiliar genres, and more books in English. In other words, I’m well on my way in some parts of my overall “read everything” goal.
But, the pile of books in my room is starting to bug me.
Here’s a list of everything I read in January.
