Tadoku Round 2: Aftermath

The second round of Tadoku is over.

AND I REACHED MY GOAL OF 1000 PAGES!!

This is exciting for two reasons:

  1. I more than doubled my reading count from the last contest.
  2. Apparently, if I wake up early, stay in my room, and don’t look up words I don’t know, I can read hundreds of pages in a single day.  Yes, this is how I spent the last days of Tadoku Round II.  My head still hurts a little bit.

All in all, a very successful contest.  Needless to say, I am pleased with my progress.  I have also discovered some more amazing sources to waste my time away in Japanese.  I ended up using way more sources for my pages than I planned to.  The best part of this contest was probably finding all the new stuff.

P.S. If you’re reading this and have not taken part in one of these contests yet, sign up for the next one. It’s worth making a/using your twitter account.  You’ll thank me, and you’ll be so much better at your target language.

Another thank you/tip of the hat to @lordsilent for the awesomeness.  Can’t wait for the next one!
